Betty Louise Harper

BETTY LOUISE (BUCE) HARPER Betty was born in Carlsbad, NM on December 6, 1937. She passed after a long illness, in Clovis, Ca on Monday, February 7, 2005. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman and Opal Buce. She was a poet, philosopher, healer, comedian and the rock of our family. Betty was "Mom" to everyone. There was always room for one more in her house and in her heart. Babies were her joy, and she was born for the job. She was loving, giving and completely selfless when it came to her family. She was an award winning beautician, attending Marinella-Corner Beauty School in the 1960's. She was also co-owner of Valley Door Company, with her husband Jack from 1973-1999. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jack Harper; her children, Gregory Harper, Terasa Ottemoeller and her husband Stephen, Janet Petersen and her husband Eric, Jeffory Harper and his wife Penny; her brother, Stanley Ray Buce and his wife Mary Ann; her grandchildren, Jackie Arnold, Jennifer Phillips, Samantha Ottemoeller, Jamie Harper, Rhiannon Ortiz, Shaunacy Gifford, Joshua Ottemoeller, Andrew Harper, Jared Petersen, and Seth Petersen; her great-grandchildren, Darian, Alysa (and one on the way); and her nephews, Bradly Buce and Brian Buce; and countless adopted kids. She will be missed, but she is at peace. Visitation will be held at Boice Funeral Home on Thursday, February 10, 2005, from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held at Fresno Memorial Gardens on Friday, February 11, 2005, at 2:00 p.m
