Betty J. Peter

Betty J. Peter, 77, Lincoln, died Monday (3/28/05). Born, Craig, Colo. (12/13/27). Her adoptive parents were John W. and Daisy (Thompson) Hartman. Betty was married to Russell Peter who died in 1971. She was later married to Richard Baker, who preceded her in death in 2004. Betty was employed by the Burlington Northern Railroad mainly as a PBX operator. She became a member of the U.S. Army Mother's Post 5 of Lincoln in 1967. She served as the commander from 1969-71.

Survivors: children, spouses, David and Kathy Peter, Little Elm, Texas, Steven Peter, Portland, Ore, Linda Peter, Harrison, Ark., Dale and Julie Peter, Lincoln; siblings, spouses, Ella Lott, Bill Lacy, Marguerite and Ernie Snell, Agnes and Alex Cuthill, all Casper, Wyo.; three grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: parents; husbands; brothers, Jack Hartman, Frank Sadvar.
