My mother, Joyce Zindel came from very humble beginnings. She always carried herself with dignity and class. She was truly a lady. Her entire adult life was devoted to raising her four children. She worked harder than anyone I ever met, to provide everything we ever needed. She did without so many things so that we could have an amazing upbringing. She never missed an event in our lives some of which were several years of little league, softball, football, cheer leading, basketball, scouting, gymnastics and band. She was the HEART of our family and words cannot express the feeling of loss that I will always have. These are the things I wanted to say at her memorial service but was unable. I LOVE YOU MOMMA.
Your Son,
Mike

To the Family and Friends,
My name is Debbie I was priviledge to know Joyce. She adopted me into the family (third daughter) actually Spiritual daughter Friend.
The Lord told me to write this, so here goes.
The Lord is always talking to us.
We have to come to him as a child
which is just a willingness to listen to him.
We have to open our Hearts,Eyes and Ears up. Some times the Lord speaks Spirit to Spirit.
Here is an example;
Sunday evening after Joyce passed I headed to my home.
On seventh street in a grassy lot I saw a deer. I know there are deer around but I had never seen one there.
When I saw the deer Psalm 42 came to my mind. "As a deer pants for the stream of water , so my soul pants for you Lord."
That was the Lord speaking!
I read Psalm 42 when I got home, and it was very appropriate for a time such as this.
I thought of how Joyce was always seeking the Lord and praying for her family, she wanted unity and a peace for her family.
Matt 21:22 says "If you believe and ask in prayer it will be recieved."
I saw this come to pass.
Her Love like her faith was strong and unwaivering. Like Jesus' Love it is unconditional.
Through our relationship, I got a closer relationship with my own mother. I could finally understand my mother and her feelings.
When they say generation gap they really should say generation canyon!
Joyce helped me grow this last year.
I will be eternally gratful to her.
Ther will be a void in our lives with her passing ~ But if we draw closer to our Lord Jesus,
He is suffecient.
In a blink of an eye we will be together again.
John 3:16 "For God so Loved the world (US) He gave his only begotten Son. So we may not perish!"
If we believe in Him as Joyce did, We will all be together again.
Have no regrets of the past. It is just that the past.
Look forward to the future.
Leave the past in the past.
Just as the Lord told Lot and his wife do not look back.
Though our hearts feel like it is breaking. Hold fast to the precious memories.
Go forth with a joy in your heart it is a time of celebration.
It is a time to draw on the strength of the Lord.
Nehemiah 8:10
Do not grieve The Joy of the Lord is your strength.
I pray for your Peace and Joy Brothers and sisters,
Go with God

Betty Joyce Zindel was my 'Aunt Joyce'. She was my Dad's sister and afer his passing in 1996, she took time and effort to stay in contact with me. She would call me on Father's Day because she knew that was a hard day for me. She made tons of phone calls and at one time, she use to e-mail me regularly. She loved her husband and loved her children. She spoke of her family often with love and affection...and we had a few chuckles as we reflected on past memories. She loved her church and proudly told me of receiving prayer shawls. I was honored to speak with her the day before her passing and she told me she had four prayer shawls and wouldn't let anyone take them from her room. She was a special lady with a big, loving heart and she will be greatly missed!!!! My love and prayers to my Uncle Johnny and all my cousins.
