Beverly Moon Obituary
Beverly was preceded in death by her siblings. brothers: Larry Hicks, Ralph Hicks, Wendell Hicks.sisters: Mary C. Smith,Dorothy Ramsey,and Sharon Moore.
Beverly accepted Christ at an early age,she was a faithfull member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Avondale where she served on the finance committee until her health failed.
She attended Chattanooga Public Schools graduating from Howard High School Class of 1971, where she actively participated in Alumni activities.
Beverly retired from Orange Grove Center with over 30 years of service.
Beverly was joined in 34 years of Holy Matrimony to the love of her life Lavern R. Moon.
She leaves to cherish her sweet memories, daughters: Kenya King of Chattanooga,TN. and Tequiela Moon of Antioch,TN. Brother Michael Hicks (Peggie) of St.Paul, MN. Sister in law Patricia Thompson of Chattanooga, TN. Sister in law Florenza Applebet of Chattanooga,TN.sister in law Eva Byars(Ralph) of Chattanooga,TN. beloved grandsons William Kirk of Chattanooga,TN. & Devotis McCurdy of Chattanooga,TN. A host of nieces,nephews,friends and couisins.
Visitation will be Monday November 11,2019 at Advantage Funeral Home 6p.m-8p.m.
Funeral will be Tuesday November 12, 2019 at First Missionary Baptist Church of Avondale at 1p.m. with Pastor Randolph Beck officiating the service. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Beverly. I worked with her for years at OGC, and she was a very Nice, Free Spirit Person, whom I enjoyed riding with and talking to. You all are in my prayers. Rest In Peace Bev.
