March 28, 1940 - Dec 25, 2014 OKLAHOMA CITY Billy Rex Reed, age 74, of Newalla, OK, passed away December 25, 2014, at his residence, He was born on March 28, 1940, in Claude, TX to Gaines and Mary Reed. Rex worked as a mechanic at an early age with his father and did mechanic work throughout his lifetime. He also spent two years in the Army. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Freda Reed, of the home; daughters, Wendy McEntire and Karen Sue and husband Mike; sons, David and wife Linda and Wade and wife Merrole; grandchildren, Chanel, Makayla, and Travis; great-granddaughter, Jaclynn; brother, Dan and wife Glenna Reed; and sister, Cookie and husband Chad Smith. In lieu of flowers, make donations to the American Lung Cancer Society. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 5, 2015, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church.
