Burton Lee Obituary
Burton was born in Albany Township, Pa. on May 24, 1939, a son of Richard J. Lee and Mildred J. Shauger Lee. He was employed by GTE Sylvania in Towanda for 35 years until his retirement. Following his retirement he was employed by Auto Zone in Wysox, Pa. Burton enjoyed singing, the outdoors, digging up ginseng and fishing. Family reunions on Dunn Hill were always special times with relatives and Burton looked forward to attending dinners with his nephew Rodney at the New Albany Baptist Church. He also enjoyed taking his brother-in-laws Darb and Dick to their respective appointments.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Lane Lee, at home; daughters Nikki Lee Marsh and husband Don of Dallas, Pa., Monya Tsiknas and husband Lou of Troy, Pa.; step-daughter Renee Frisbie of New Albany, Pa.; grandchildren Garritt Chrzanowski, Whitney Chrzanowski, Jordan Frisbie, Darren Counterman, Zachary Counterman; great-granddaughter Abigail Counterman; sisters Thelma Thoman and husband Ed of Rome, Pa., Janice Fassett and husband Harry of Macedonia,
Sharon Kinney and husband Bob of Hop Bottom, Pa.; brother-in-law, Dick Bedford of Forks Township, Pa.; sister-in-law, Stella Lee of North Carolina, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Donald "Skippy" and David Lee and a sister Dorothy Bedford.
The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave., Towanda, Pa., with Pastor Terry Van Horn of the New Albany Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Bradford County Humane Society, P.O. Box 179, Ulster, PA 18850 or to the Animal Care Sanctuary, P.O. Box A, East Smithfield, PA 18817 in Burton's memory.

Lee Family
