Carl E. Kuehner
Carl E. Kuehner, 85, of Lower Towamensing Township, died Sunday in his home. He was the husband of the late Alverta (Behler) Kuehner. He worked as an assemblyman for the former Western Electric Company, Allentown, for 22 years before retiring in 1981. Previously, he worked for the former New Jersey Zinc Company, Palmerton, for 18 years. He was in the European Theater during World War II, serving with the 1st Battalion 413th Infantry. He was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Trachsville. Born in Kunkletown, he was a son of the late Samuel and Atlas (Christman) Kuehner. Survivors: Sons, Ronald and Gerald of Allentown and Larry of Lugoff, S.C.; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Harold of Cherryville and Hayden of Trachsville. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, T.K. Thomas Funeral Home, 145 Delaware Ave., Palmerton. Call 10-11 a.m. Contributions: Church memorial fund, 500 Church Drive, Palmerton, 18071.

Uncle Carl,
