Carolina Sanches Obituary
She was born in Portugal and had lived here since 1972. Mrs. Sanches was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church.
She was formerly employed by J. I. Paulding as a machine operator until her retirement.
Survivors include 6 sons, Domingos M. Sanches of France, Jose M. Sanches of France, Antonio M. Sanches of France, Fernando Sanches of Fairhaven, Joao Sanches of Portugal and Adriano Sanches of New Bedford; 2 daughters, Rosa Mariana Ferreira of Acushnet and Ana Ferreira of New Bedford; 1 brother, Jose Martins of Ct.; 1 sister, Maria Magalhaes of New Bedford; 24 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Maria Alice Alves; and sister of the late Alfredo Martins and Joao Dias.
Her funeral Mass will be 9am Thursday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Visitation will be Wednesday 6-9pm at Boulevard Funeral Home, 223 Ashley Blvd. Burial will be in Portugal.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
