Charles Bordes Obituary
Relatives, friends of the family and members of the 377th TAC, the LA National Guard, the Washington Artillery Veterans Association, the Retired Enlisted Association, American Legion Post 267, the Voiture Locale 201 Forty and Eight, the Square and Compass Lodge 417, Babylon Chapter #66, the Jefferson High School Alumni and the 7th Ward Citizens Drainage Advisory Board are invited to attend the funeral service on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment with military honors will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

I had the pleasure to serve under Charlie when he was 1SG of the 2226th. Engineer Company at Jackson Barracks. He is a part of my history that will be missed. My sympathy goes out to Charlie and his family.
