Elaine, Ellen, Beth, Amy and Bill,

Words cannot express our deepest sympathy for your loss. Knowing Chuck as a teenager and growing closer to him in retirement makes us realize what a great and good man he was with such intense wit, insightful memory of facts and stories we had long since forgotten and sound judgment --- despite his being a graduate of Boston Latin and BC Law --- (he would have had a humorous response to that and we all would had a belly laugh.) We loved him too and will continue our daily prayers for him and for you all in your bereavement. .

As a new attorney at the DIA almost 20 years ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Chuck as opposing counsel. From his handshake, smile, and twinkling eyes, I could tell I was meeting a true gentleman. His professional & kind manner will be remembered always. God bless you all at this most difficult time. Take comfort that Chuck returned to the Lord on the day we celebrate the Birth of Christ, the Light of the World. Rest in Peace Chuck...

Elaine and family, we all learned so much from Chuck's strength and positive attitude as he fought thru his health challenges. And, the smile in this photo--it reminds me of when he would be collecting on a 2 dollar Nassau as he walked off the 18th green at Cranberry Valley. Thanks for your friendship Chuck.

Dear Elaine and family,
Before I knew Chuck, I observed him at the DIA one day speaking with an unrepresented Employee, whose claim was against an insurer being represented by Mr. Dixon himself. Chuck's explanation to that man of the intracacies of the law and the merits of each side's case was clear, complete, and fair, and impressed me as being of the highest ethical and professional quality. In subsequent years, Chuck was the key person enabling me to practice in Worcester with him at Milton, Laurence & Dixon. He was a terrific mentor and colleague, and it has always been an honor to associate my name with his. As I now serve as an Administrative Judge at the DIA in Worcester, I am always mindful that without Chuck Dixon, none of this would have been possible. I am so sorry for your loss, and I know that you treasure your many memories of this wonderful, wonderful man.
