Charles Nichols Obituary
Doug served our country as a Marine in the 1960's. In the 1980's Doug moved to the Pacific Northwest, which gave him beautiful scenery for camping, hanging out with friends, listening to country music and of course, riding his Harley. His passion for his motorcycle drew him to his favorite hangout spot, Loves Leathers in Battle Ground. Doug formed lasting friendships within the Loves community.
Doug met his love, Laura, in 1992 through mutual friends. They were married in Battle Ground on August 31, 1996. Doug and Laura enjoyed their time together. They often went RVing to the coast, their favorite spot being Lincoln City. When home they enjoyed working on their house together.
Doug is survived by his wife Laura of LaCenter; daughter Diane Nichols Rivera and husband Gilbert of Harlingen, TX; his step-son Shane Miller of Battle Ground; his sister-in-laws Susan Garritano and husband Steve of Battle Ground, Sheryl Alexander of Battle Ground, and Jeanne Griffin of Vancouver; and brother-in-laws Glenn Ferguson and wife Lynn of Manchester, TN. and Butch Ferguson and wife Barb of Battle Ground and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Grace.
A Celebration of Life will be held:
Saturday March 14, 2015 at 12pm
at Loves Leathers Outpost
