I knew Chris for a short time but liked him from our first meeting at Teledyne. It was sad when he passed, he was loved by so many. I wish his family the best and to know he is still watching over.

I first met Chris when he took over at Teledyne Gloucester, and I instantly realised that here was a man who was just so easy to get on with and like. From then on I met Chris at various shows and exhibitions and he always took the time to stop and chat, and always with that smile and great sense of humour.
It was such a shock to hear of his passing, he'll never be forgotten and will always bring a smile to my heart whenever I think of him.

Dear Helen, Hannah, Beth, Aunty Pat and Paul, you are constantly in our thoughts.
Life will not be the same, but Chris's life was one worth living, knowing he made the most of every moment and brought so much love and happiness to others will bring some comfort in time.

My deepest condolences to Chris' wife, Helen, their children, parents, and to all who love Chris.
I never met Chris however, my colleagues spoke of him as a genuine person who loved his family, and loved life.
My prayers are with all of you.

It was an ABSOLUTE JOY and PLEASURE to have worked with Chris since his career began at Teledyne in the UK facility. I worked with him quite a bit on the financial side of things. When it came to anything (business, our senses of humor {which were both a bit biting}) he just "got it." I guess that sums it up, he "got it."
More than a boss to me, for sure. He will be greatly missed by everyone.
To Helen, Beth, Hannah and the family -our thoughts and prayers are with you always.

Chris was, and always will be, a great boss, mentor, and friend. I am so thankful that God allowed me to be a part of your work family during these past 4 years. Your sense of humor kept smiles on everyone's faces in the workplace, and you made us all feel as if we were a part of your family as much as your coworkers. I will continue to pray for your family and friends in their time of need. God Bless you, Chris, and thanks so much for your friendship and mentorship to all of us.

Dearest Helen, Beth and Hannah.
Our deepest condolences to you and your family, at this difficult time.
There are four words that are stamped on my heart when I think of the life Chris lived here at Teledyne: Fun, Friendly, Fair and Fabulous.
Take comfort in knowing this:
Blessed are those that mourn, for they shall be comforted. Mathew 5:4
But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.
1Th 4:13
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
1Th 4:14
For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive [and] remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.
1Th 4:15
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
1Th 4:16
Then we who are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
1Th 4:17
We love you and will continually be in our thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and everyone that knew him.
I am one of the fortunate people whose life was touched by Chris Hughes.
He was good to all of us and even without him around most of us are going to find ourselves saying "Chris was right" about matters he was involved with. I will always cherish what I learned from him in such a short amount of time. There's no mold for you Chris for you were the mold. You will always be truly missed.

Helen, There is nothing that I can say that can help you deal with the pain, except that I love you, and the Lord is watching over you and your family in this time of need. Chris was a great guy and I remember him being quite witty and a joy to be around. The picture of him with the tie in his mouth was the way I want to remember him, as always enjoying life and loving every minute of it. He brought music to those who knew him, and he will be a great loss to all. My sympathy is with you.

I instantly liked Chris as soon as I met him at one of the industry exhibitions, he was very personable, warm and quick witted. Doing business with Chris was a pleasure; he was shrewd and very quick to see a solution that made sense for all involved. However I especially enjoyed the social time I spent with him whether it was on the annual Teledyne fishing trip, watching Manchester United play in Houston or just beers in the bar.
He will be sadly missed.

To Helen, Hannah, Beth, brother and mother, my thoughts and prayers will always be with you. I will always remember Chris as the very thoughtful guy with a nice English accent. I have enjoyed working with him and every time I eat deep fried Turkey on Thanksgiving day, it will always remind me how Chris talked me into it. I was glad I was able to talk to him one last time last Thursday, 1/6. We, here at Teledyne Instruments, City of Industry, will surely miss him.

Chris was smart, fun, wise and will be missed. I still remember when he laughingly called me a "cheeky fellow" for some reason that escapes me now. I am not from the UK so I was not sure what it meant, but the big smile on his face was enough for me laugh along with him.
My condolences to his family and friends, and especially his work family at Teledyne Geophysical Instruments.
