Dad,

You were an extraordinary father. You taught us well just by being the person you were. You had your serious side, but also a wonderful sense of humor and a playfulness we saw often; all of this you passed down to us. Our memories of you will sustain us; you are in our hearts and minds forever. I love you and miss you, Kim.

I worked with Curt for many years at Nickels and Smith and what a "classy guy." I had been a realtor then joined his firm in 1976 and I learned so much from him. I am still doing mortgages now! I was with Curt when he bought the 1977 Cadillac and I had a similar car and we had so much fun discussing our cars. I always admired the way he handled and respected money and his great values on the things that really matter. Curt to me will be remembered as one of those "unsung heroes" and truly a very fine man. Auntie Carolyn, Perry, Kim & Gay,
I just wanted to extend my deepest sympathies to all of you. Uncle Curt was one of my favorites and he has a special place in all of our hearts. He was always so quick witted and he just loved to tease me! I have so many fun memories of spending time with him at your old house in Brooklyn Center and also up at the cabin in Grand Rapids. Uncle Curt was always willing to take the time to play a quick board game and even had the patience to take Gay and I out fishing on a number of occasions. He will be truly missed and I wish him eternal peace.

Love,

I extend my condolences to the entire Hanson family, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. I was very fortunate to have met your husband/father/grandfather at a few of Kristin & Michele's school events and will keep in memory his smiles and adoration he had of his family when he attended. And to my dear friend Kim, you got me through my father's passing, and so shall I be here for you and the girls always. Find a little comfort in that I'm pretty sure my dad met yours upon entering heaven and are talking, laughing and looking upon you and your family with love. God bless you all.

Dear Carolyn, Perry, Kim, and Gay,
My condolences on the loss of Curt. We were so fortunate to have him, and the rest of your family as neighbors during the sixties, and as ongoing friends of my parents. I'll never forget the impact of his "birthday card exchange" on my usually so serious mom--right on up to her last birthday at age 81. Carolyn, do you remember how hard she laughed when he gave her that music/sound card? That card kept her going for quite a while, as she played it over and over, laughing. Curt had an amazing ability to bring out the playfulness and laughter in people. I'll also never forget how he and the men in the neighborhood built the garage for my dad, the summer after we moved in, when my dad was very ill. Through the years my parents continued to enjoy taking trips and getting together with the two of you, and talked fondly about Curt (and you too, Carolyn). Hope to see you next week, Kathy Delaney Lebow
