I only got to know Dave (EMO) thru one of his best friends Mark Sabilia. I can remember going bowling with him and Mark and all 3 of us, trying our hand at "Fred Flintstone" type of bowling!! I Also can remember having him in stitches when I'd an imitation Of a Groucho Marx duck walk right on Pattagansett rd., at a party-1or 2 A.M. but the one word I can use to sum up Dave is just--FUN!! He was such a fun guy, and to me I'll always have that memory. RIP Dave.

Dear "family DeMatteo" and friends of Dave. So very sorry to hear of the loss of Dave, my old friend from years at East Lyme High School (soccer, band, (yes trip to Vienna) and numerous classroom activities), as well as from 4 years together at UCONN. Every memory I have of Dave is a great one and a kind one (except the time when he was goalie on the soccer team, and he yelled at me because I blew my one-on-one coverage and allowed the attacker to shoot the ball past Dave into the goal...sorry Dave!). May you rest in peace my dear Friend (Dave/Emo...). Evince.

I took dave fishing off fisher's Island years ago, with some friends. He was such a happy guy, always cracking jokes. He ended up catching the biggest fluke on the boat. I offen thought of him even though I haven't seen him in years.

Oh Emoe I´ll never forget the days running around Roxbury, Carriage Hill, stickball in your driveway, hoops & all the fun. I´m fortunate to have called you a Friend & forever grateful I got to say goodbye to you. RIP my friend

I'll miss my friend, AKA Emo. Spent lots of time with him at UConn and beyond, playing Rugby and multiple adventures. An adventurer at heart always. Rest in peace, my friend. Say hello to Rob.
