Debra Lou Becker (Fuerstenberg) passed away on May 31, 2024, in Madison, Wisconsin, Surrounded by family at the age of 66. She was born on March 19, 1958, in Platteville, Wisconsin. Deb was a devoted stay-at-home mom known for her exceptional skills in cooking, sewing, crafts, gardening, foraging, and plant identification. Her kind and helpful nature endeared her to all who knew her.

Deb is survived by her sons, Nick Becker and Derek Becker, her brother Steven Pothour, her sister Barb Hugill, Her Dearest Boo Boo and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Delbert Pothour, her mother, Ruth Fuerstenberg, and her husband, David Becker.

Deb attended Oliver E Grey Primary School and Platteville High School. She pursued a career at Advanced Transformers & Lands End. In her free time, Deb enjoyed growing her garden, rock collecting, and hiking. She was a proud moderator and advocate for a Woman's Cholesterol Group. She will be watching over Family & Friends and forever will be in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Deb's memory. Foster Funeral & Cremation Service in Madison, Wisconsin, is assisting the family with the arrangements. Deb will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Sincere condolences to Nick and Derek. Deb was such an awesome cook and could grow and can just about anything she put her mind to.

Whenever I wanted to know what kind of plant or flower I was interested in I would send her a photo or describe it to her and she always responded with her awesome knowledge of nature.

Deb was a great neighbor to have in Platteville. She was always warm, funny, and full of wisdom. My deepest condolences to Nick and Derek - she was such a special lady!
