Derek Heath Obituary
Derek has lived in Clowne since 1990 when he moved from Stanfree. Working on land settlement, he moved to Oxcroft Pit for 30 years until it closed, going to High Moor until his retirement.
Derek enjoyed line dancing, going to many clubs, including Oxcroft, Calow and Mastin Moor, and he played football for West Lea up to 1968. He was big on crown green bowls, being a team player for Clowne Welfare and county referee, winning awards from the early 80s, until his health deteriorated.
Derek leaves his wife Joyce Heath, sons Alan , David and Michael, daughters-in-law Catherine, Jackie and Mandy, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will take place at Chesterfield Crematorium on Thursday March 9th 2017 at 11.50 am.
