I still talk with Don Berry, when I run I pray to God and to Don to watch over my sons. I think of him, smile, hear his laughter, and remember his stories and times shared with myself and my sons.
He is an angel of God.

Don was always special to me. We were close throughout high school, and spent time together afterward, as well. Our mothers were childhood pals, and, thus our families were not only neighbors, but FRIENDS. Don and Lona were more than schoolmates - they were our buddies. Don "touched" everyone he met. Memories range from hysterically funny to poignant. My regret is that because I moved to the other coast, we didn't get to extend our connections into adulthood. Regardless, Don will always have a special place in my heart.

Still missing Don - and just had a dream about him last week - of course, it was wonderful and I heard his laughter and saw his huger than life smile!

Our family was blessed to have Don in our lives. Our boys will forever be in memory of all the stories and support he gave them both. I will NEVER forget his full and bigger than life laughter. It always brought a smile to my face. He will forever be in our hearts, but forever be missed ... would love to just give him one more reason to smile and laugh and share a hug along with a piece of our yearly traditional Sweet Potato Pie!

Seeing Don was one of the highlights of our class reunion in 2010. His obvious joy for life and his testimony of grace will always be a special memory. I truly regret that we won't meet again in this world.

Don (and Lona) were close high school friends who hold a special place in my heart. Many special memories of Don flood my thoughts - ball games, wrestling matches, car rides, passing notes in class, spending time at Don's house with Vern, Marge, and the "kids," etc. Don was always part of everything fun that happened during high school, and I'm betting that he was the fun family guy during the remainder of his life. Condolences to all of his family. His passing must leave a great void. Karen Gentry-Cochran

I knew Don mostly through the wrestling team at Henley HS. We practiced against each other and shared a lot of long bus rides together. I also remember he was a member of the relay team that won the state championship his senior year. I still remember his old Ford pickup with the irrigation pipe exhaust. He was a funny guy, and gone too soon.
