Dona L. Mazzoni

Dona L. (Barnett) Mazzoni, 68, of Raynham passed away March 8, 2014, at Morton Hospital, Taunton. She was born in Boston, raised in Pembroke and was the daughter of the late William R. and Winifred (Matheson) Barnett. Dona had been a resident of Brockton and North Carolina for many years prior to moving to Raynham 12 years ago. Following graduation from Silver Lake Regional High School, Dona worked for Delta Projects in Brockton, and Piedmont Mental Health in North Carolina. She was a driver for Kiessling Transit and Crocker Transportation for many years before she became as a Group Home Manager for Growthways, where she retired in 2008 after working there for more than 10 years. While in good health, she enjoyed bowling at the Mallard Club in Brockton, sewing, cooking and time spent in the garden. She enjoyed being a grandmother and loved all her grandchildren equally, but so enjoyed her grandsons after having so many girls in the family. Dona is survived by her children, Jodi Morgan and Jessica Mendoza both of Raynham, Steven Morgan of Brockton and Jennifer Morgan of Fall River; her brothers, Scott and Chuck Barnett; her grandchildren, Nicole, Samantha, Brittney, Patrick, Alexandria, Shannon, Makenzie, Mason and Michael; and her great-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Katrina and Kayleigh. Visitation will be at the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123), Brockton, Friday, March 21, 2014, from 4 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., immediately followed by a funeral service at 7:30 p.m. all to conclude by 8 p.m. Cremation will follow with burial of ashes in the family lot in Milton Cemetery Friday, March 28, at 11 a.m. In memory of Dona, the family would prefer memorial donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 85 Astor Ave #2, Norwood, MA 02062.
