Donald Gresh Obituary
AIKEN - Mr. Donald Allen Gresh, Sr., 86, wid-ower of the late Lynn Kamerer Gresh, passed away at his residence on Sat-urday evening, May 28, 2022. Born in Mountaindale, PA on August 18, 1935, he was the son of the late Paul and Vivian Alexander Gresh. He was a retired Air Force veter-an having served in the Ko-rean War and was a member of First Baptist Church in Aiken. After graduating from Slippery Rock College, Mr. Gresh started his career as a television tube salesman for Westinghouse in Pittsburgh, PA, and quickly rose through the ranks in the lighting division, where he even-tually became Marketing Manager in Vicksburg, MS in the mid 1970's. He transitioned to Hubbell Lighting in 1980, where he was named the Vice President and Gen-eral Manager of the lighting division in Christiansburg, VA. In 1985, he was promoted to Vice President and General Manager of Hubbell's flagship division, Wiring Devices, in Bridgeport, CT. He later became Group Vice President of the corporation and elected to the Board of Directors. He retired from Hubble, Inc. in 2001 and relo-cated to Aiken, SC with his wife Lynn, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf. Surviving are a son, Donald Allen Gresh, Jr., (Donna)of Blacksburg, VA; identical twin daughters, Laura Gresh Wallace (Rodney) of Harrisburg, NC, Susan Gresh Dun-lap of Concord, NC; a sister, Hazel Murphy of Orlando, FL; a brother, Ret. Col. Gary L. Gresh of Flat Rock, NC; 9 grandchildren and most recently a great-grandchild named after him, Donald Allen Gresh, IV.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Phillip Grush of North Carolina.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the coming weeks at Woodside Country Club. The time and date will be published once the date has been finalized. Mr. Gresh was truly one of a kind. He treated everyone equally and his people loved him. Executives don't exist like him anymore.
He was also very giving. He would help anyone with just about anything. He will be greatly missed. My condolences to the family.

Sorry to learn of Don´s passing. Will always remember the day he helped me make Polish Sausage & what fun he was to be with. May God grant His mercy on both Don & Lynn. Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord, & let perpetual light shine up them, may they rest in peace. Amen.

Worked with and knew Mr Gresh's family for many years. Fine man and a great leader at Hubbell Lighting. Didn't matter if you were a janitor or a VP, treated everyone the same. Sorry for your loss. You will be missed Mr. Gresh.
