Donald Starr

Donald Allen Starr passed away on August 21, 2022 at the age of 61 due to complications of diabetes. Born in Denver on September 26th, 1961, Don spent his life in the Denver area except for a brief stint in Idaho as a child. He attended schools in Broomfield and graduated from Broomfield High School. Don continued to live in the family home after the passing of his parents until his own passing. From an early age, Don was enthralled with trucks, a passion which led to many of his adult jobs. Trained in Logistics, he enjoyed driving the bigger delivery trucks and working the docks, and did so for several companies from electronics to food delivery, doing mostly inter-facility transfer. He was most recently a Quality Assurance Technician for a local food manufacturer. Don enjoyed reading about military history, especially the Civil War. He also enjoyed spy and military action novels, with Tom Clancy being a favorite author. He enjoyed listening to country music, with Tanya Tucker, Crystal Gayle, and Johnny Cash at the top of his playlist. He enjoyed doing word puzzles, especially Word Searches. Don is survived by his brother and a niece and nephew. Although Don enjoyed flowers, he requested donations in his name to the Children's Diabetes Foundation or a similar organization instead
