Sorry to hear of D.R.'s death. We Bud and Nancy Breen had stayed in touch with and visited Don in Oneonta from our home in Canastota. Also visits at Martha's Vineyard. We have many boyhood memories of life on Bridge Street in Broadalbin, NY. Our thoughts and blessings to the families of Don and may gods love and peace be with you.

Dear Mark and Melanie,
My mother, Alice Odell, worked with Dr. Vosburgh, at Hartwick College. She always spoke very highly of him. We had additional contact with him and with your family at First Methodist Church.
A personal memory I have of your dad is that one year he drove me home from a retreat at Sky Lake. As he drove, he saw a large turtle crossing the road, so he turned his car around, so that all the kids in the car could get out and see the animal. It seems that he also got lost and took a scenic route home. Additionally, he also had to stop to get us all some ice cream. He dropped me in my driveway about an hour and a half after all of the other kids had arrived home.
Your father was, as you well know, a great person! I know he will be missed in Oneonta for many years to come.
I send you both good wishes and deep sympathy.
   Grace and peace,
      ~Colette Odell

Melanie,
I was so sorry to hear about your Dad. He was such a warm and caring father.
I will always remember the fun times we had during our childhood days going to each others home. Your Mom and Dad always made me feel like I was a part of your family.
My thoughts and prayers will be with you and Mark during these difficult times.

Dear Mark & JoAnn, Melanie & Tom - No visit to Oneonta was ever complete until there was a stop at 86 Maple. I always felt better after seeing Don & sharing stories & laughing together. His warm personality and bear hugs were unforgettable - along with his orange socks! I don't know how many cards he sent out each month remembering birthdays, but I know that I always looked forward to mine - especially the individualized message from him. I also remember a beautiful, prize-worthy photo that he took of you, Melanie - the one where you are looking out of the window at the birds in the yard.
Your dad was a wonderful friend - he will be missed and remembered with great fondness. Sending you my deepest sympathy.

Our condolences on the passing of a dear, gentle man. We met Don a half dozen times over the years and were mesmerized at each meeting by his ability to spin a yarn, a talent he passed on to his son. We feel fortunate for having gotten to know him. Christmas will not be the same without his whimsical photo cards.

My condolences to the entire Vosburgh family. I am saddened to read of his passing. Don was an absolutely first rate human- a great and dedicated educator, - and over forty years I never left an encounter with Don without a smile - those jokes ! I am very sorry.

Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of such a sweet man. I am saddened by the loss of Mr. Vosburgh. He was always such a pleasure to speak with when he came into the office. He made me laugh and always put a smile on my face. I would make him my last call to patients so that I would be able to spend time on the phone with him.
