Douglas Nichols Obituary
February 2, 1961 to September 13, 2018.
Beloved son of Gerald and the late Ruth (Parker) Nichols. Died September 13, 2018 age 57 following a 2 year battle with lung cancer. Doug showed tremendous grace and courage in the face of cancer and his longstanding diagnosis of schizoaffective disorder. He was generous and kind to everyone he met. Doug took great pride in his Air Force training and service and his time working at US Steel. He will be missed dearly by family and friends. Doug is survived by his father, Gerald Nichols, sisters Brenda Khyentse and Rhonda Nichols, nephew Bryan Nichols, niece Brianna Nichols and many cousins. Predeceased by mother Ruth Nichols and brother Bryan Nichols. Internment November 10 in Piggott, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, donations to Small Group Therapy, Hot Springs and Arkansas Hospice are requested. Safe Journey Doug.
