Stunned in November to learn of "Poncho"'s death when went by the house. Just found his obit in Eckstrom-Columbus Library (24 Feb. '9). My late parents and I have known him since about 1950.

When I first seen your obituary in the paper Sunday, October 19, 2008.
I was indeed shocked and I could not believe that you my dear friend had passed away.
Sunday, October 19, 2008, I had try to write in this guest book, and I just could not think of what to say, my heart was so broken.
When I attended the scheduled mass for you at the Benedictine Monastery on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, I sat in the pew praying and thinking.
The words came to me. You may have had limited vision, Poncho, but your heart and love of people was never limited.
As I continue to pray and looking at the cross.
I asked Jesus to give you perfect vison too see everything in this world while looking down from heaven upon all of your friends who truly cared and loved you.
The reception of the celebration of your life after mass was so beautiful, it was a party of all of your friends, and truly a blessing.
We all realized Poncho HOW MUCH YOU REALLY DID SEE, THAT WE DID NOT SEE.
You touch so many people.
I will truly miss you with all of my heart.
I know you are having one big party in heaven now.
With much love.
