Elaine Chartier Obituary
Lisbon – Elaine A. Chartier 80 of Lisbon, died unexpectedly December 9, 2016 at the Backus Hospital. She was born in Norwich on September 17, 1936, the daughter of the late Joseph and Stephanie (Grobofski) Bazinet. Elaine was employed for 20 years as a secretary for the Department of Social Services in Norwich, retiring on May 31, 1997. She was formerly married to Robert Chartier, who predeceased her. Survivors include one son: Ronald Chartier and his wife Christine of Griswold, three daughters: Phyllis Chartier of Canterbury, Jacqueline Rinehart and her husband Christopher of Culpeper, VA, and Patricia Bourey and her husband Dennis of Sanbornton, NH, one sister: Patricia Bryant of Plainfield, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and one niece, Kathleen Diodato and her husband Jeff of Norwich.
At her request there will be no funeral services. Burial will be private and there are no calling hours.
All are invited to attend a pot luck dinner on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Newent Congregational Church, 12 South Burnham Highway, Lisbon, CT. The Guillot Funeral Home of Taftville is in charge of arrangements.

I was saddened to hear of Elaine's passing. She was a gentle soul and an absolute sweetheart of a lady. My condolences to the family. I have no doubt that she'll be greatly missed by all. My heart hangs heavy with their loss.
