Eleanor Surber Blevins SUGAR GROVE, Va. Eleanor Surber Blevins, age 82, passed away June 16, 2010, at the Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, Tenn. Mrs. Blevins was born in Greencove, Va., to the late Robert Lee Surber and Mountie Taylor Surber and was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh "Buster" Blevins; a son, Hugh Blevins Jr.; and an infant son, Randall Blevins. She was a member of the Sugar Grove Baptist Church and had retired from the Sugar Grove School as the cafeteria manager after 32 years of service. She loved to cook & play Bingo. Survivors include: one son, Robert "Bobby" Blevins, Sugar Grove; one daughter, Kyra Shumate and husband Bill, Chilhowie; one grandson, Jason Lamie and wife Angie, Marion; three granddaughters, Michelle West and husband Derrick, Marion, Ashley Blevins and friend Ryan Zilles, Marion, Breanna Blevins, Sugar Grove; great- grandchildren, Caitlin, Jonathan, Sierra, Nevaeh, Mason; two sisters, Leeola Stamper, Fairfax, Va., Beryl Harvey, Plant City, Fla.; one brother, Don Surber, Whitetop, Va.; several nieces and nephews; special friends to include the Bingo workers at the Francis Marion VFW Post 4667. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, June 18, 2010, at the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with Rev. Billy Gwinn and Rev. Kenny Price officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Barr Cemetery in Whitetop. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
