The family thanks Georgia Russell who was caring for Betty, as well as Troy (N.Y.) firefighters and paramedics who responded, the staff of the emergency room and fourth floor PCU at Samaritan Hospital, as well as Linda Rinella and her staff for all they have done. Friends and family may call 4-8 p.m. Friday at Daniel D. Purcell Funeral Home, 510 Pawling Ave., Troy, N.Y. A Mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Church. The Brundage Family:

My sincere condolences on the lost of Betty. Whenever I answered the phone at my grandfather's house (Walt) she would always confuse me by asking for Bud but I had no idea who that was. But she would always ask me how I was doing and carry on a conversation with me like I was an adult. She's a very special lady who I'm sure touched many lives.
