Jim joins me in extending our heartfelt thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathy at this time of sadness.
Ellen was a lovely lady, always ready to share her many talents with everyone and a wonderful bridge player.
She will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to associate with her.

Mrs. Oliver had a special way of engaging with people, sincerely wanting to get to know their thoughts and feelings. She was clearly a person who was close to God; she radiated kindness. My prayers are with the family. ~Julia Reynolds (Morristown, NJ)

I remember Ellen's kindness to me both when I was a student at Davidson (and her daughter's friend and roommate) and her support when I attended seminary in Columbia. Her kindness and graciousness live on!

Ellen was very kind and thoughtful to me over the last year. She welcomed me, a novice, to her bridge partnership. She has been a gift. Perhaps she knows that I felt honored. (And we shared the same dog groomer! That's something too.)
