TIERNEY (Nee Anderson) (Esther) Ballina Road, Killala, Co. Mayo Died May 1st 2014 We, the family of the late Esther Tierney wish to thank most sincerely everyone who has sympathised and supported us during our recent sad loss. We would also like to thank all who attended the removal, funeral, and burial service and to all of you who have visited our family home and travelled long distances to celebrate the life of a wonderful wife, mother and friend. We were extremely touched and humbled by all who have sent Mass cards, floral tributes and messages of condolence, it will not go unnoticed and for this we are eternally grateful. A special word of thanks to our neighbours and friends for their kindness, support and for all who provided food or assistance in any way during this difficult time. We very much appreciate the work of our Funeral Director David Lynn and his colleagues for their guidance, professionalism and respect. Your care and attention to detail was exceptional at all times and for this we extend our sincere thanks and gratitude. We also wish to acknowledge the remarkable care and attention of the Doctors and Nurses who tended to medical needs with a special mention to Dr. Joe Gilvarry, Dr. Paul Donnellan, Nurse Anne Flannery, Nurse Madeline Gallagher and her on call palliative care nurse Jill. We also want to thank the staff of Mayo General Hospital and the care provided by the emergency services. We wish to extend heartfelt gratitude to our local priest Father Paddy Hoban for his kind words and beautiful sermon for which we are most humbled and appreciative. Your kindness will not be forgotten. A special thank you to the band "Flat out" that provided angelic music during the Mass, helping us to create a meaningful and heartfelt ceremony. Finally, Sincere respect and gratitude to Jason Moyles and the staff of Hotel Ballina for their hospitality, beautiful food and kind consideration which was provided after the burial service. We find it almost impossible to put into words how grateful we are to everyone who supported Esther and her family both in life and during her passing. For those who have loved, laughed and contributed to making our special and most deeply cherished wife/mother happy during her time here on earth, we salute you. Please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our eternal appreciation and gratitude. The holy sacrifice of the mass has been offered for your intentions. Esther's Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Patrick's Church Killala on Saturday 7th June at 11am.
