Dearest Family,

I'm so happy to have known such a wonderful friend. Dint always made time to lend an ear or two. He would come to my office and sit and we would laugh...tell stories. I will miss him, as anyone else who knew him.. Rest in Peace Handsome.

Love you all.

Joyce -my sincere sympathies to you and your family. Dint was such a kind and nice man. I will always remember working for him in high school; it was one of the highlights of my senior year. In recent years, I so enjoyed running into you and Dint at the store and will miss seeing and talking to him. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Joyce and family, I will always remember the joyful
times at your home during my childhood. Dint teaching us
how to ride a horse was the only time I've ever been on one. His love for animals and children was obvious. He taught by example. My heartfelt thoughts are with each of you. Leslie (Guiou) Rideout

Coach, I will miss all of our frequent chats at Marden while our wives shopped. I will never forget the many PIHS basketball trips in 1964-65 and as one of your managers my main job was to keep you on the bench so you didn't get a technical. To a true 'Gentleman' and friend, we will miss you.

Where do I start. Dint started me on my basketball path in the 8th grade when he held a summer camp. When I was at Ricker college, he was an assistent coach under Gib Chapman and taught me more. Than when I coached at CAHS in Mars Hill, he was coaching at PI and we were conversing again. And I cannot forget the many times that Luann and I spent many nights at each others homes. I am really going to miss him. Love to all the lovely family.

So sorry to hear of Dint's passing. Just to put an exclamation point on the kind of person he was....At the 50th class reunion of our Houlton High School class of '59, Dint showed up, took us team members aside and issued an APOLOGY to us for the loss to Bangor that derailed our run to state title. He said to Bob, Tom and I that he did not know how to counteract the full court press that Bangor coach Red Barry employed in the 2nd half that erased our large lead and earned Bangor the win by 3..Can you imagine any other coach still caring enough after all the years to travel to the reunion and speak with us.....I learned a lot more than basketball from this super wonderful person....

I am so sorry to hear about Dint! He was my basketball coach in high school. He was a great guy and I remember him telling me to calm down on the floor and to stop letting my emotions get to me. It worked and I am proud to say I had a great basketball career! Thank you Dint. You will be missed by many.

We are sorry to lose Dint. He always had a smile for anyone he met and took the time to hear his friends. With Joyce he was the man most dream of growing old with. I had the pleasure these last years of watching him with his great grandchildren. How lucky they were. My love especially to my friends Joyce, Nancy and Lisa and their families as I knew them well. Heaven gained a very special man. He will be missed!

Coach,
You taught me so much in the two years as my basketball coach at PIHS in 1964-65. Your love for the game and the positive way you could motivate players to their best is reason we did so well under your leadership. Thank you for all you did for the youth and being just a friend as well.

My thoughts go out to all who know you and may you RIP.
