Patricia Meltzer (Cook)

December 5, 2004

Gene Sr. was the best man at my parents' wedding on May 24, 1939, in St. Mary Magdalene parish house. Their names were Gen Bungert and Phil Cook. They often spoke fondly of your mother and dad and other class members from Munhall High School class of 1934 and the dances at St. Matthew's church in Homestead where they met although they were in the same homeroom and graduated the same year. My mother, Gen, died in 1978 and my dad, Phil, in 1990. After my mother died my dad remarried twice more to women who went to school with our parents, Madolyn Myers and Martha Stanton.
It's hard to lose a parent, I know, but you can see how they live on in the memories of others.
Sincerely,
Pat Cook Meltzer
