Everett W. Bush

Everett W. Bush, age 88, of Barker, entered into rest on Sunday, December 7, 2008 at his home. Born June 3, 1920 in Allen Mills, PA, he was the son of the late James Irving and Lottie May (nee Carlson) Bush.Everett had worked at Gerber Foods, “Cornucopia Farms Inc.,” in Barker, retiring in 1982 after four years. Previously he had worked as a coal miner in Pennsylvania for 20 years, starting when he was only 13 years old. He had also worked at Speas Vinegar I Lyndonville, and farmed at Stanley George Farms in Barker. He had lived in Barker since 1953; previously of Brookeville, PA. He married the late Emma M. Bowser, November 22, 1938 in Brookeville, PA. She died October 13, 1995. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing poker.He is survived by two sons, Daniel (Debbie) Bush of Gasport and Perry (Louise) Bush of Hamlin. Besides his wife, three children predeceased him, Viola Powley, Helen McKee and James Bush. Brother of Annabel (Leonard) Case of Dunedin, FL; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren also survive him.Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 11:00 AM from the Gasport Chemical Hose Fire Company.
