Francine Rice was born on May 1, 1933 in Fairfield, TX to parents Everett Hurd and Altha Ruby Johnson Newman and entered into eternal rest on January 2, 2016 at the age of 82. Francine was known as Ma Francine and Granny Francine by her grandchildren; whom she loved dearly. She worked for over 30 years at the hospital in Garland and owned the Christian Book Store in Kemp. Francine was part of the Auxiliary at the Kaufman Hospital. She was Baptist by faith and attended Hillcrest Baptist of Kemp. Francine was a loving and caring lady who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Francine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carl Rice, son-in-law Herbert McKinney and two brothers; Wayne and Al Newman.
She is survived by her daughter JoAnncine Wainright and husband John of Fairfield, daughter Gweena McKinney of Kemp, son Darrill D. Rice of Kemp, 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, other loving family members and many more friends.

Mrs. Rice was a good neighbor and I am happy to think about her being on those streets of Gold in the presence of our Lord.
