Frank Sturman Obituary

Frank Sturman born to Floyd and Ruby Sturman in Elida NM Dec. 12, 1925,. He was one of five children. He attended Elida High School where he was class president and salutatorian. As WWII broke out he enlisted in the Navy Air Corp. at 17 where he served 3 1/2 years in the South Pacific. Frank returned to New Mexico and attended New Mexico State University where he was a member of the SAE fraternity. He finished his degree in business at Eastern New Mexico University. There he met his wife of 65 years, Mildred Hogg. After a stint at Whidbey Island with the Navy, Frank wanted to return to the beautiful north west to start his career. Frank worked at Boise Payette Lumber Company as an accountant. He then moved into the insurance business where he worked as a State farm agent for nearly 30 years.
Frank enjoyed all outdoor sports from steelhead fishing to hunting but you could always find Frank and Mid on the Crane Creek golf course almost any day of the week. He even had a hole in one.
Frank and Mid were avid supporters of Boise State University Broncos since 1972 and were one of the first season ticket holders since 1992.
Frank enjoyed spending time with his family in McCall and taking cruises in the Caribbean. Frank and Mid took the whole family on a cruise to the Caribbean for their 50th wedding anniversary.
Frank is survived by his wife of 64 years Mildred Sturman, his three children Mark Sturman of Boise, ID, Debbie Denevan of Spokane, WA, Kelly Sawatzky of Clayton, CA, his four grand children and one great grand child. His siblings Bill Sturman, his two sisters Floydene Groves and Janie Sturman. He will be buried at Idaho Veterans Cemetery.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
