Frederick H. Henckel

Frederick H. Henckel, age 86, of Sheboygan, died on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. He was born in Sheboygan on March 23, 1928, the son of the late Paul and Cecelia Drews Henckel.

He attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1947. Frederick was a United States Army Veteran, serving his country in Frankfurt, Germany from 1950 to 1952.

He was employed at Kohler Company for over 50 years as a supervisor in the finance department. Frederick was a member of the Elks Club and was a past Exalted Ruler and a lifelong member of VFW Post 9156 and was a past Commander as well. He was also a member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church.

Survivors include his brother, Richard (Elaine) Henckel, of Sheboygan; a nephew, Michael (Laura) Henckel, of Appleton; a niece, Cheryl Henckel, of De Pere and his sister-in-law, Marian Henckel, of Sheboygan. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. Frederick was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kenneth.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1439 S. 12th St., Sheboygan with Rev. Paul Fliss, officiating. Family and friends may call at the church from 9:00 A.M. until the time of Mass at 11:00 A.M.. Entombment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Frederick's name. A heartfelt thank you is extended to the staff at Sheboygan Senior Community and Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center for the compassion and care that was given to Frederick.
