GEORGE W. BROWN "SNOOKIE" HAMMOND, IN George W. Brown "Snookie" 83 of Hammond, IN, formerly of Indiana Harbor section of East Chicago, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2007. Preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Mozelle and daughter, Toni. Survived by devoted and caring sisters: Claudia Samuels and Doris Brown; nephews: Daryl, Michael, Larry, Steven & Quentin Samuels; nieces: Connie Frazier, Jeri Ogele Samuels, Linda Smith, Lisa & Gregory Arrington. George was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran, he attended Riley Elementary and East Chicago Washington High School. He was a devoted, loving and caring husband and father to his family and was respected by all who knew him. Funeral services will be Friday, November 16, 2007, 11:00 a.m. at Fife Funeral Home, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago. Burial at Fern Oaks Cemetery in Griffith. Visitation 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
