George Thomas

George Thomas, 86, died peacefully on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Easton Hospital in PA. Son of the late Joseph and Catherine Tomasieski, George was born in Bloomfield, NJ and lived in Bridgewater, NJ before moving to Easton, PA, 26 years ago. He was a US Navy WWII veteran. George worked for Egan Machinery in Somerville for 36 years, retiring in 1990. George was a very active communicant of Holy Ghost Russian Orthodox Church in Manville and after moving to Pennsylvania, he became very active at the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Allentown, PA. He is predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Evelyn Thomas who died in 2008. He is survived by his sons, Richard of Eldon, MO, Kevin of Bridgewater; daughter, Sharon Davis of Washington, NJ; grandchildren, Michael, Robyn, Allen and Jodi; great-grandchildren, Lexie, Quinton, Leighton, Cayden, Mason and Kelly. Visiting hours will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 PM with a Parastas Service at 8:15 PM on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. The funeral will begin 9 AM on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the funeral home followed by a 10 AM Funeral Service at Holy Ghost Russian Orthodox Church in Manville followed by burial at Holy Ghost Russian Orthodox Cemetery.
