Well we don't like to say "Good Bye" to such a fun and lively person, but we pray for comfort to your family, Arlene, Mary, Jim, Brandy, David, Ally, Erin, and Justin and your entire family. When you would say how are you doing he'd always say "I'm doing ok for an old man!" Though we will miss him, God know what He's doing. May the peace of God rest in your hearts.

Gerry always had a smile or a wise crack whenever we saw him. We will miss looking for him at community events in the first aid/ambulance area. He was a man of respect, he gave it and deserved it. Whenever an ambulance was needed at our home, we were put at ease when 'Mouse' walked in.

Where to begin...drinking a can of coke never pepsi, smoking a pipe, fireworks on the front lawn, fixing my flat tires on my bike and calling me a skinny little brat...that pretty much sums it up! I was just the kid at the end of the street but he was there for me always. My heart is breaking for all of you. Love and hugs.

Dear Arlene and Family.
Please accept our sincere condolences on Gerry's unexpected passing. Gerry was much more then a friend to us as he played a huge part in our lives and I will miss him a lot. As you know it was Gerry that helped me land my 1st job at Suburban Ambulance so many years ago. I will always remember the fun times we all had together especially our early hockey years. Gerry taught me the most important lesson for all Paramedics "the patient always comes first no matter what" Shirley and I are currently in South Carolina we will be in touch with you as soon as we get home. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Dear family,
Sorry to hear of the loss of Jerry. I only met him once or twice but he left a great impression. We loved to share our family history. I married his cousin but our connection did not stop there. He knew my father, who is a retired Windsor Police Officer, from the hey days of Downtown. He also is fondly remembered by my mother who met him at about the age of 19 when he taught a first aid/CPR course. He will be missed and fondly remembered.
Thinking of you, Frances, Donald, Edward & Clark Desjardins
