Dearest Scott:

Maybe, if you press against the veil that now separates you from all of us for this short while, you can read this. I know we'll all see each other again and that families and love and friendship are forever, but that doesn't keep us from missing you excrutiatingly. Thank you for being the wonderful, hard-working and dedicated person that you are. We are better people in my family because we knew you and were blessed by the good example of your life that we had to emulate. It's so hard to get used to you being gone. We love you very, very much, and we can't stop thinking about you and Michele and Nathan.

Love forever,
Mary Winter Peterson and all the Winter Kids

Michelle,
My heart and prayers are with you and nathan. I didn'tknow until today or I would have been there. Scott was such an amazing person and it was my honor and privilege to know him, be his friend and work with him. I am consoled as you are by knowing that he is there in heaven and that we will see him again. He had such a strong faith. I am here if ever you need anything at all just as Scott was there for me during very difficult times.

To the Allen family,
I was saddened to hear of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you remember Scottie, and may those memories help to lighten your load in the coming days. Teri (my sister) spoke of Scottie so many times over the years. He was a true friend to her as the Allen family has been to us over the years.
May you walk in peace and love,
Marla Kay

Mrs. Allen,
Your husband was a wonderful man and one of the men in my life that believed in my dream to be an athletic trainer or football coach. I am pleased to let you know that he knew that I have almost accomplished my goals. I am a junior at the University of Arkansas and I have worked with the football and baseball teams as an athletic trainer/ strength coach. I am working on my degree in physical education so that I may one day be a football coach for a high school or college. Your husband was a good friend, mentor, and man of honor. I am proud to call him a friend. God Bless you and your family.
In Christ,
James Kevin Forbis Jr.

Michelle and Nathan:

We love Scott so much. He is a precious memory now of our time spent in Nacogdoches and the Nacogdoches 1st Ward. We will always remember his smile, his jokes, his love and concern, and his dedication to his family and friends and Church. It's so hard to fight this heavy feeling in the chest that comes with his passing, but we look forward to seeing him again, when we leave too...Our prayers and love are with you and your wonderful family.

Sincerely,

Mary Winter Peterson, Joss, Mike , Zack, Bri, Aaron, Zoe, Monica, Steph and Josh Winter
