Step-grandmother to Michael Miller and Lisa Yedid, Willie and Bruce Home, Adam and Chris Cutler and step-great-grandmother to Rachel and Benjamin. Gretchen was an inspiration and a friend to all. Before moving to Oakville she was active at St. Mathais Church, Meals on Wheels, the Grenfell Mission and other community organizations. She had also been very active at the Beaconsfield Golf Club, founded by her grandfather Benjamin Tooke in 1904. Gretchen joined the club in 1924 and was a member for eighty-three years. She had been a club champion, a past captain, a past president and an honourary member. A private family service will be held in Oakville followed by burial in Oakville. Jim,

I would like to extend to you my sincere condolences. I remember your mother from Barat Road and more recently when I met her occasionally on Greene Ave. She was a most friendly person and I am sure you will miss her very.
