Gwen Ravencraft Obituary
She married Charles Ravencraft, who passed at Christmas 2019, after 70 years together. They owned Ravencraft's Caf? and Liberty Truck Stop, and had four children. When he began a career with the Mississippi Senate, she started her own career at Kellwood Company and won many awards before retiring in 1986 as Packing Department Director.
In retirement, she raised a fifth child and played golf everyday. She was ladies champion at Pine Hills Country Club and won a gold medal in golf at the Mississippi Senior Olympics. She was an avid University of Alabama Football fan and enjoyed traveling the U.S., cooking for family, jigsaw puzzles and a daily crossword.
Her greatest love was being a Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She leaves behind her children Charlie (Betty) Ravencraft, Keith Ravencraft, Shelia (WD) Kinchen and Jarrod Ravencraft (Marc Lewis), seven grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
She is also preceded in death by her parents, daughter Sandra Roberts, four brothers and three sisters.
