Harold Gray Newsom was the first child born to the late Harold B. and Delia Gray Newsom January 28, 1930 in Harrisburg PA. He graduated from Perdue and married his college sweetheart Marty Wood in 1952. Upon the completion of IBM school, he was assigned to the office in Tucson, AZ. Later he was assigned to Yuma then finally to Phoenix, where he retired from after 30 years in 1991. Marty and Harold had one daughter Linda and an adopted son Lincoln. Grandchildren (Linda) Marcia Chandler, AZ, Bryan Mesa, AZ, Kylie Newsom (Lincoln) Overland Park, KS, Emily Newsom Des Moines, IA. And Lincoln Mark Hardin Amarillo, TX. Great Grandchildren (Marcia) Hannah, Marcy, Tristan, (Bryan) Kylie, (Emily) Brody and Emmitt. Marty was a lifelong diabetic and passed April, 1997. They had been married 45 years. In 2002 Harold remarried Arie M. Levels and were married for 15 years. Those wonderful memories will be cherished by her. Harold had a peaceful transition into external rest Tuesday January 9, 2018 and now receives the crown of righteousness from our heavenly father. He was a committed Christian, sincere believer in the need for people to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He served as an elder, member of men's group, chair member, and men's ministry through he based his life on his relationships with Christ. His love and devotion to his wife, children and grandchildren was unquestionable. Harold spent many wonderful moments with his family. Harold leaves a host of nieces, nephews and the entire Levels family that will miss him greatly. Services will be held Saturday January 13, 2018 11AM at Foothills Christian Church 3951 W. Happy Valley Road Glendale AZ, 85310.
