Harry Whitney Obituary
Sparky enjoyed hunting, trapping and all of SACHS sports, especially basketball.
He is survived by 3 children, Ralph and Kathy Whitney of Westbrook, Timothy and Joyce Whitney of Kissimmee, FL, and Esther and Richard Canavan of Island Falls; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Jeannette Farwell and Harriette and Ansel White, all of Island Falls; 2 brothers, Vinal "Buddy" Whitney of Oakfield and Alan Whitney of Island Falls; several nieces, nephews and cousins; the mother of his children, Lillis Whitney of Biddeford; and his constant companion, Striker. He was predeceased by his parents; and a sister, Elaine Hartin.
The family would like to thank Dr. Hrynick and the hospice for their care and compassion.
Graveside funeral services will be announced in the spring. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to Green Valley Association, P.O. Box 127, Island Falls, ME 04730. For an online memory book and to leave condolences, please visit www.bowersfuneral.com.
