He was preceded in death by his mother, Emma, his
father, Harry, and a daughter, Sheri.
Harry leaves behind his wife, Gwen, with whom he was with for 44 years and married for 41.
He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his 7 children: three from a previous marriage: Betsy Jay, Kym Ziegler, Lori Wismer; 3 children who adopted him: Tamela Sprigg, Marcene Wismer, Darlene Breunig; and one that he and Gwen adopted together, Marke Wismer. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Harry was born on June 17, 1939. After graduating from Phoenixville High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy and became a flight engineer, proudly serving his country for 20 years.
He became a Brother of the Pennsylvania Free and
Accepted Masons, Lodge #75 in 1962.
Harry met the love of his life, Gwen in 1973 and they
married in 1976. They became accomplished travelers and owned several types of recreational vehicles. They spent years traveling all over the country together. He still called Gwen his "bride" and he would often say, "There's my girl."
Harry had a larger than life persona. His trademark
stubbornness and witty sarcasm will not be forgotten but will be carried on by his loved ones. If you knew Harry, you knew laughter.
As wonderful and passionate as he was about life (and boy did he live), nothing surpassed the love he had for his wife, Gwen.

I served with Harry at Willow Grove 69 through 76. He was larger than life. Taught me a lot. His gear is up and he's on cruise now. I will always remember him with a smile.

My father was an amazing man with a lot of love in his heart. He loved his family more than life itself.

Although I never met Harry in person, after working with Marcene for 21 years and hearing all the stories I feel like I knew him. After reading this well written obituary which made me laugh and brought tears to my eyes, you can tell how much he was loved by his family and will be missed dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you, especially Gwen! RIP Harry
