Treasured memories
The powerful in the land
Can't bring a change of heart
But history will be made
When the people play their part ...
I know you were proud of the community when they beat PARC in saving Cairntows Park. When we got the JKC, the Industrial Estate and saved Newcraighall Village ... you were there. When we played in streets and sang on stage, you were there. Urging us on, helping us find our way. And if we succeed in anything we do, it's in no small way because you showed us how ... you andJack Kaneand Donald Rentonand Willie Campbell, leading from the front. Always fighting, never accepting less ... that's the Helen Crummy I will remember. A true Socialist Hero.
