KUPCHO, Helen G. Mrs. Helen G. Kupcho, age 93, formerly of Charles Street, Torrington, died Saturday, (September 30, 2006) at Highview Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Benedict C. Kupcho, who died in 1990. Mrs. Kupcho was born on February 15, 1913 in Jessup, PA, a daughter of the late Matthew and Anna (Sabolchic) Grippe. She had lived in Torrington since 1940, moving to Durham in 2002. She had been employed by the Ingersoll-Rand Corporation, Standard Plant for 25 years before her retirement in 1975. She is survived by three sons, Benedict J. Kupcho, and his wife Patricia of Durham, John J. Kupcho, and his wife Helen of West Caldwell, NJ, Edward J. Kupcho, and his wife Bonnie of North Canton, OH; a sister, Margaret Federovitch of Torrington; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m. from the Gleeson Mortuary, 258 Prospect Street, Torrington to St. Anthony of Padua Church, 49 South Street, Litchfield for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in New St. Francis Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call at the mortuary on Tuesday from 9-10:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Highview Health Care Center, 600 Highland Avenue, Middletown, CT 06457.
