DONALDSON, Henry "Harry" 78 years, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 9, 2007 at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital. Beloved husband of Theresa Donaldson (LaPrise) and predeceased by Jeannine (nee Duchesne) (1986). Loving father of Ronald and wife Deborah, Randy and wife Hidy, Susan Plackmann and husband Werner, Dale and wife Kerri. Dear step-father to Raymond Laprise, Richard LaPrise and wife Ann, Ronald LaPrise and wife Corrine, Rhonda Stevens and fiance Tom Reygaert, Roger LaPrise and wife Wendy. Cherished grandfather to Ryan, Randianne, Haley, Dustin, Rachel, Breana, Quinn and great-grandfather to Payten. Step-grandfather to David, Bradley, Shannon, Samantha, Casey, Cody, Kyle and great-grandfather to Austin, Ethan, Cade and Connor. Predeceased by parents Henry and Esther Donaldson. Survived by sisters Ellen and husband William Hunt and Flo Rochon and husband Jim Ghanam, brothers-in-law Joe Farrah, sisters-in-law Barbara and Pat and predeceased by sister Esther Farrah and brothers Joe, Jim, Alfred and Jerry Donaldson and sister-in-law Marge. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Harry retired from Chrysler Canada after 34 years of service, was a member of the Windsor Sportsmen Club and the Knights of Columbus Council 4924. Harry had a passion for hunting and fishing and will be sadly missed by his special group of "hunting buddies"; Morgan, Bob and Bruno and has been reunited with his pals Bob Bickerstaff and George Poisson. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and doctors of CCU and ICU at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital and to the staff at Leamington Nursing Home. Visitation will be held at the Marcotte Funeral Home & Chapel 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh (519-735-2830) on Tuesday from 2-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. K of C Prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers. Visitation will continue at St. John Vianney Church 385 Dieppe Street on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 after 9:45 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Thom Blondin will be the celebrant. Entombment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In kindness memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted in memory of Harry Donaldson in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held September 30, 2007. All are welcome. harry has left a legacy that has touched many people. a loving husband,father,are his best qualties.I always teased harry that he, never come back from hunting with a deer. harry told me that the guys he hunted with made to much noise. Harry could always make me laugh with his sharing. to my mother Theresa,step family,and immediate family love always. ron and corinne .
