Howard Thomas Obituary
He was born May 29, 1934, in Baltimore,
to the late George H. Thomas and Lillian Pearl Jones.
He worked for B & O Railroad, and retired after 31 years as an electrician at Sparrows Point Bethlehem Steel Corp. He also worked for A.A. County Recreation and Parks at Lake Waterford Park.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1954 to 1956 in the Korean War. He received the National Defense Service Medal.
He was a member of the American Legion, and enjoyed his dogs, watching CNN news and painting ceramics.
He was preceded in death by his son, Danny Thomas; and two brothers, George and Bob Thomas.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Freida Aileen Thomas; five sons, Bryan Thomas, Bruce Thomas of Baltimore, Carl Vance Jr. and Jack Vance, both of Pasadena, and Forrest Vance of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one daughter, Susan Hicks of Pasadena; one sister, Deloris Huber of Glen Burnie; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday at Gregory Gonce Funeral Home in Pasadena.
