DAVIS, Hugh McIntosh On February 20, 2005, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's, Hugh McIntosh Davis passed away quietly at the age of 82 years. Hugh was born on October 6, 1922, in Canora, Saskatchewan and over the years resided in Canora, Flin Flon, Manitoba, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Fort McMurray and Edmonton. Hugh joined the armed forces in 1942 and served overseas until honorable discharge in 1946. Hugh was also a thirty-year member of the Operating Engineer's Union. Hugh is survived by his wife of 57 years, Olga; three sons, Tom (Judi) of Calgary, Bob (Bev) of Flin Flon, Grant (Bonnie) of Red Deer; two daughters, Shelia (Arnie Harkiss) of Spruce Grove and Shauna Robertson of Edmonton. Also survived by eight grandchildren, Lisa Smith, Michael Davis, Sean Davis, Jennifer Sampson, Christopher Davis, Jordan Davis, Tommy Harkiss and Dane Harkiss; and one great-grandchild, Joseph Smith. No formal funeral service will be held. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Edmonton, Rm. 5R01, General Hospital, 11111 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta, T5K 0L4 or Canadian Cancer Society, Alberta/NWT, Edmonton District Unit, 1200 College Plaza, 8215 - 112 Street, Edmonton, AB T6G 2C8.
