Ike E. Holcomb

HOLCOMB Ike E. Holcomb, age 61, of Greenfield, OH, passed away March 7, 2010 after a long fight with cancer. The son of the late Michael and Catherine (Mahle) Holcomb. Preceded in death by brother Michael Holcomb and nephew Scott Holcomb. He has been a member of AA clean and sober since June 25, 1995. He retired from Deer Creek Camping Resort, Mt. Sterling in July 2007 due to heart problems. Past employee of Lee's Catering, Hilliard, OH and also Desert Island Club, Columbus, OH. February 14, 1997 he married Janet (Clyburn-Smith) Holcomb who survives in Greenfield, OH. He is survived by step-children, Sabrina (Michael) Scott and their children, Treyce and Cammi Scott of Grove City, Gwen (Kurt) Scott and their children, Aidan, Hannah and Tanner Scott of Grove City, Nathaniel Smith and his children, Easton and Emelia Clyburn of Greenfield and Sabryna Keach of Columbus and Laurel (Matthew) Crosby and children, Garrett and Shaelyn Crosby; sister, Mary (John) Upperman; and many nieces and nephews. He leaves many good close friends at Deer Creek Camping Resort that he has met over the last nine years. Also, during his 14 years of sobriety, his good close friends who he has met and AA. Family will receive friends Thursday 5-7 p.m. at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026, where funeral service will follow at 7pm Thursday. Cremation will follow.
