Irene Harlow Obituary
Irene was an entertainer, always leaving a row of smiles in her path. Known for performing and delivering a great joke. These qualities, along with her positive, peaceful nature, will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Huntington Society of Canada.
Visitation 1-3:30 pm, with a Celebration of Life beginning at 1:30 pm, Saturday, June 18th, 2016, at Courtice Funeral Chapel, 1587 Highway 2, Courtice, ON L1E 2R7 (905-432-8484). Online condolences may be placed at www.courticefuneralchapel.com .

Diane, Sorry to hear about your mum. I think that my family were the only ones to call her 'grandma'. She would always cry when we said goodbye, stating that she may not see me again. I will miss seeing her when I arrive in Canada. She has headed to happy land. See you soon.

Dear Diane,
Over the years we have had many chats about your mom, ranging from her infectious spark and quick wit to her perfectly-painted toes. The last time we were all at the cottage together, we marvelled that well into her 80s she outlasted both of us, telling Richard story after story until late into the night. Although I have always loved her ageless spirit, what struck me most was her deep and humble gratitude for family and friends; no hug, no card, no visit was ever taken for granted - these were the gifts that gave her the greatest joy.
Stay strong my friend. Hold the thought of the old oak tree; although the tree is gone now, her roots were the deepest part of her and these live on in each of you, and in the lessons she taught all of us about loving and living life. We will hold her deep in our hearts as we truly celebrate her life.
Love and prayers to you, David, Bonnie, Dave and Dana, and the rest of the family.

Bonnie, Diane and David,
Joyce and I were sad to hear of Rene's passing - we knew in the last days it would happen - but still not prepared. We can find solace in the way she left us and I'm sure that's the way she wanted it.
Lots of fun and family and music, Rene was the family ambassador of entertainment and friendship to all who knew her.
I think the lord said Hey it's time to come and entertain all of us again up here. You did it for so long down there.

Hi from sandy, I have so many fond memeries of the Crawford gang get togethers. What a blast there was never a dull moment. We laughed all day and night. Who was the funniest? I couldn't say. The Sisters and Brothers would have a laugh off. They would have jesters and costumes that would be thrown together to tell stories. Carol Burnett had nothing on them !! We were so blessed to have time spent in their company. Wished we could have had more. As Emily would say TTFN. God Bless and love from my family in B.C to your family in Ontario. XOXO

David Diane, Bonnie and Family. We are going to miss our beloved Aunt Ronnie she was an amazing women.. Funny, lovable, carrying and very easy going for sure. She hand wrote a message to me when I lost my mother Nathalie Crawford in 1999.. To this day I still carry it in my wallet.. The original tape is still on it, as she had attached this message inside the sympathy card- that she wrote to me.."God saw that you were getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he wrapped his arms around you and whispered Come with Me. Golden Heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us "HE ONLY TAKES THE Best!!! Lovely words that we should all be excited to hear and share with others.. We will Miss you Aunt Ronnie Love you Ken, Leslie, Alex and Max Bowman (London, On)

I was very sad to here of Renie"s passing.I remember waiting as a kid for a chance to either get up to Ontario to visit her or when she came down to NS always good for joke or a skit she got naturally from grampie.It was nice we got up to see her with Chris it was a very nice trip.She will be sadly missed but had a very full life and left us in her sleep as graceful as a angel.lots of love to all her family Peter and Nancy and family.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Rene as we called her. I had the privilege of working in the concession at the Civic Auditorium in the 1970's with Rene. She sang constantly and at that time there was an organist on top of the popcorn booth. We would sing then play "name that toon!" all during the Generals game. I will forever remember her kindness and sweet soul! We have been blessed to have had her in our lives
